West Branch Family History Center

After 27 years the West Branch Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has closed its doors. Effective Friday, March 17, 2017 the Center was discontinued. I want to thank all of you for the wonderful support you have given the center over the years. Without your patronage we could not have accomplished the goals of the Family History Center program of the Church which enabled its membership to fulfill the obligations of finding and uniting our families, which is one of the basic tenets of our religion. As director of the Center for that 27 years I am proud to have been associated with all of you and I thank you for the support you gave me, the research you so willingly shared, the donations of both time and money that all of you made, and most of all for allowing me to share this aspect of the gospel of Jesus Christ with you. It is my prayer that our Heavenly Father will continue to bless all your research efforts both as societies and as individuals. The most important work you are doing, although most of the time it is unrecognized, is providing an identity for future generations. I hope you will never forget the motto of the Center:
“…my ancestors…I will call into the past, far back to the beginning of time and beg them to come help me at the judgement. I will reach back and draw them into me. And they must come, for at this moment, I am the whole reason they have existed at all.”
May God bless you all and thank you for all the support you blessed me with throughout the years. Donnie Boursaw, former director of the West Branch Family History Center
Thank you Donnie for all your work and help and for being there for the 27 Years, we will miss you and your smiling face. We have lost a valuable asset to the genealogy work in this area.
